On behalf of the Victorian Government we are delivering a suite of upgrades at stations in the Gippsland corridor which will improve accessibility and amenity for passengers of all abilities.
Through the Gippsland Rail Corridor Station Upgrade Program commuter amenities at Traralgon, Morwell, Moe and Trafalgar stations will be improved.
Traralgon and Morwell stations will also receive an additional 160 car park spaces which will ease pressure on commuters and Trafalgar station will be upgraded with an additional platform entrance, a new platform shelter, bus bay upgrade and bike hoops.
The scope of works for the program were determined following community consultation carried out by Public Transport Victoria which assessed customer experience and identified priority improvements for stations in the region.
Contracts for the Gippsland Rail Corridor Station Upgrade Program have been released to tender with the project expected to be completed by mid-2017.
