VicTrack makes underused land, assets and buildings available to community organisations at affordable rents through our community leasing program.
In 2024 our Community Grants Program, funded by VicTrack and the Department of Transport and Planning, provided a total of $500,000 in funding to organisations who lease our assets for community purposes.
The funding was offered to tenants that have community leases with VicTrack, including not-for-profit community groups and Tourist and Heritage (T&H) railway organisations. Community groups that lease VicTrack assets from their local council were also eligible to apply.
The grants are being used by tenants to support them with managing their community assets, which include public open spaces, art galleries, museums, libraries, T&H railways, creative spaces, and community hubs.
