Our land and buildings are often used as locations in film, television and commercial productions.

You can apply for permission to film or take photos on rail land and at stations, and how you apply depends on where you would like to film.

  • Filming at stations
    Filming at stations

    VicTrack does not manage operational stations, so we cannot provide permission to film at stations.

    Metro stations
    To film at a station in Melbourne, you need to request permission from Metro Trains

    Regional stations
    To film at a station in regional Victoria, you need to request permission from V/Line.  

     
  • Filming on VicTrack managed land
    Filming on VicTrack managed land

    We can only take applications to film on VicTrack managed land. You apply to film on our land using our film enquiry form.

    Commercial productions
    To access a site for a production, the fee is $1,000 per day and requires an executed access deed prior to occupying the site.

    Student films
    To access a site for a student film, there is a negotiated fee structure available during the scouting phase. An executed access deed is required.
