Belgrave Station car park upgrade

We’re delivering new car parking at Belgrave Station through the Victorian Government's Car Parks for Commuters Program.

Project benefits

The project will deliver:

  • a new multi-level car park with 640 spaces
  • additional accessible parking and new drop off/pick up zones
  • minor improvements to the bus interchange
  • new wayfinding signage and landscaping
  • improvements to the car park entrance and roundabout.

Construction

The Belgrave Station car park is closed and no commuter car parking or drop off/pick up areas are available. Alternative parking is available in a temporary car park built at Upwey High School, within walking distance of Upwey Station. For more information, see the Upwey car parking instructions.

For the safety of commuters and local residents, the pedestrian pathway between Hayes Place and the station precinct is closed. People should allow extra time to walk around the worksite.

The works will not impact train operations. The majority of works are scheduled to take place from Monday to Friday during normal construction hours. For more information, please see the project flyer

To support the relocation of the bus interchange at Belgrave Station, a new bus parking zone on Belgrave-Gembrook Road is in place from late July 2022. The zone is only available for commuter bus parking and must remain clear at all times. Please see the flyer for further information.

The entry road to the new station car park is being widened near Belgrave-Gembrook Road.
