We delivered a new bus interchange at Ballarat Station as part of the redevelopment of the Ballarat Station precinct. Works were delivered by contractor BMD Constructions.
Buses started using the interchange from Sunday 19 December 2021 when the new Ballarat bus timetable was introduced.
About the interchange
The interchange brings local buses closer to the station, making it easier and safer for commuters to access the station precinct and change between transport services.
Buses have been removed from local streets and 12 new bus bays are now contained within the Ballarat Station precinct.
The bus interchange has improved comfort and safety for station users with pedestrian crossings, CCTV, lighting, shelters and seating.
Buses enter and exit the precinct from Nolan Street via Scott Parade using a new signalised intersection installed as part of the project.
