Gisborne, Kyneton and Riddells Creek station car park upgrades

About the projects

The Victorian Government is delivering new and upgraded car parking spaces at Gisborne, Kyneton and Riddells Creek stations.

  • 100 spaces will be upgraded at Gisborne Station, which includes four accessible spaces.
  • 50 new spaces will be delivered at Kyneton Station, which includes one accessible space. 
  • 50 new spaces will be delivered at Riddells Creek Station, which includes three accessible spaces. 

The projects will also deliver:

  • new bicycle parking
  • improved safety and security with CCTV and lighting.

Construction of Gisborne car park started in the week commencing 8 August 2022:

Construction of Riddells Creek car park started in the week commencing 15 August 2022:

Works will soon commence on  Kyneton station.


Community engagement 

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the concept designs for the Gisborne, Kyneton and Riddells Creek car parks through Engage Victoria in March and April 2021. You can find out what we heard by reading our community engagement report

Following further planning and design work, the proposed location of the Riddells Creek Station car park has changed. It is now to the east of the existing station car park, with access via Hamilton Street. The community was given an opportunity to provide their feedback on the new location for the car park in December 2021.
