Construction on the
Jewell Station precinct redevelopment is underway, and is taking place in two phases.
The first phase is expected to be complete in mid-2019.
For the safety of pedestrians and cyclists, and to enable the precinct upgrade works, the Upfield shared user path is diverted away from the construction site via Barkly Street, Black Street and Wilson Avenue.
Pedestrians should allow an extra five minutes to access the city-bound platform from Barkly Street, or walk via the western side of the station precinct.
Cyclists should also allow extra time to pass through the precinct.
Please follow the signs in place. For more information, please see the
disruptions poster.
Further diversions to the path are expected during the second phase of the works.
