VicTrack makes underused land, assets and buildings available to community organisations at affordable rents through our community leasing program.

Through our Community Grants Program, VicTrack and the Department of Transport and Planning are offering a total of $500,000 in funding to organisations who lease our assets for community purposes.

Community grant applications now open

Not-for-profit community groups that lease rail land, buildings and other assets from VicTrack for community purposes can apply for grants through VicTrack’s Community Grants Program.

The funding is being offered to tenants that have community leases with VicTrack, including not-for-profit community groups and Tourist and Heritage (T&H) railway organisations. Community groups that lease VicTrack assets from their local council are also eligible to apply.

The grants are being made available to tenants to support them with managing their community assets, which include public open spaces, art galleries, museums, libraries, T&H railways, creative spaces, and community hubs.

How to apply

Applications must be made online using the application forms at the bottom of this page.

There are two different application forms - one for community groups and one for tourist and heritage rail groups.

Applications close at 5pm on Monday 23 September 2024.
